Competition is no stranger to the Watts household. The dividing factor? Only two have had the chance to battle for a national title. Steve Watts, inaugural PGA National Club Championship competitor, will share his insider knowledge with his daughter as he carries the bag for Rebecca Haines.

Rebecca has been dreaming of stepping onto the first tee at Palm Springs since her dad came home from Pinehurst in March. “Just being out there at No. 2 was an experience. Seeing the course, meeting other players from all over the country was very special” says Steve, words that inspired Rebecca to up her game.

The one thing they won’t let competition get in the way of, sharing this experience with one another. “What makes this trip special to my heart is that my folks are coming with me – and my dad will be my caddie. Everyone I love keeps telling me to go out there, have fun and make memories … so that’s what I’m going to do.”
